List Visualization (Click the Plus or Minus signs to expand or contract the list)
InstructionsThis webpage provides access to an online tool which performs a number of useful tasks on a TAB-delimited list of keywords that has been pasted into the 'Input List' box.
It starts with a two-stage error-check to locate the following common tab-indented list errors:
It will then perform a case-insensitive sort on the error-free list and display the sorted list in the 'Sorted List' box. Synonyms in curly brackets are kept next to their parent word.
The sorted list is then displayed in the 'List Visualization' section. This shows you what the list will look like when it is loaded into your image processor, Digital Asset Management program or image library.
Important NotesThis tool will NOT work if the entire list has been indented with extra TABs (i.e. if the first line has one or more leading TABs). Please remove these before using this Tool. An easy way to do this is described on the Tab-Indented List Tutorial page.
You can't type a Tab-character into the Input List, but you can copy and paste one from somewhere else.
Please be PATIENT when processing large lists, and give the tool a chance to complete its work.
If no list has been pasted into the 'Input List' box, an error-free test list is displayed. There is also a test list with a range of errors, that is useful to check error-trapping. Click 'Clear All' to clear the lists.
If you need additional tools for error-correction and common list-processing tasks, see the Tab-Delimited List Sorting and Error-Check Tool.

If you find the Tab-Delimited List Visualisation Tool useful I'd appreciate a mention in your Blog and any online groups.
